About Me

Been in to computers since I owned a rubber key ZX Sinclair Spectrum with a whopping 48K of RAM, then moved on to a 286, a 386, never owned a 486, but jumped straight to a Pentium 166MHz…oh happy days.

I’ve messed about in a variety of programming languages over the years, including: Quick Basic, BASIC, Pascal, Delphi, Visual Basic, Visual J++ (yup…), C and even COBOL (very short lived experiment). I code these days in C++, Visual C#, Java, BASH. I’m a huge fan of opensource stuff, but I also like using Windows too. Deal with it!

When I’m not in front of a computer, I enjoy hiking, playing badminton and football (not at the same time.) Big fan of Monty Python, NCIS, Chuck and Mock The Week. I’m a regular reader of various novels, and often found lurking on Amazon.co.uk for a decent book.
